We have, in the last couple of years, participated in the largest, European equity summit, "TradeTech Equity", and it is therefore natural that we wished to support a Nordic seminar, when we were approached as the concept was being developed.
TradeTech Nordic will be held in Stockholm on 4 November, and ALOC will naturally be represented.
The focus of this conference is how market participants relate to the current exchange market and how to create additional value with the options presented by new markets, new technologies and, for example, algorithmic trading.
You can access the website of the conference using this link.
Please contact Mikkel S. Lyngbye, Vice President, Sales via email, for more information.
It is this zeal and commitment that are the basis of the development of the company. Financial knowhow and technological competences are the principals of this growth. ALOC's journey has brought huge ups, but also some downs when the market has been under pressure. ALOC has always pulled through, and international expansion is one of the ways ALOC intends to ensure continued growth.
”We are here for one reason only, and that is to supply solutions to the market that create additional value for our clients”, says CEO, Jan Hjortshøj. Jan Hjortshøj is a new milestone for ALOC. He took over the helm after Karsten Bruun Andersen who was captain for the first 25 years. ”The task is a classic one: Improved client satisfaction, increased volume and cost-effectiveness. ALOC is, in 2010, positioned well in order to realize this potential. Actually, more prepared and goal oriented after a year where the financial crisis hit close to home. Our organization is more streamlined and we are likely to expand due to increased demand for our solutions. We are looking forward to the coming years – and to the next 25 years with the same success rate."

The certification is part of a strategic effort to ensure that our trading system is developed in step with market requirements. With access to Burgundy, our clients will be able to trade in Nordic shares from NASDAQ OMX, Oslo Børs, Nordic Growth Market and Swedish Aktietorget. With the same central counterpart as on NASDAQ OMX.
It is also worth noting that trading on this alternative trading facility will entail lowered costs. Therefore, the market is expecting a significant change in how liquidity is accessed as of the summer of 2010. In other words; Burgundy is expected to quickly become an important player in the Nordic market.
You access Burgundy via a new IDEAS module.
To learn more about the business opportunities brought on by Burgundy as your trading facility, please contact Mikkel S. Lyngbye, product manager. Send a mail to mikkell@aloc.dk.

Investment software, IT security, process optimization, user-friendliness and mobile banking. Denmark has great international potential within these areas, and the export perspectives are very promising.
The report mentions "investment software" as the first strength and ALOC is mentioned in this context.
The report is the initiative of Copenhagen Finance IT Region (CFIR), a non-profit organization with partners from organizations and institutions from the two sectors as well as several knowledge institutions. It’s goal is to further growth and innovation in the cross field of finance and IT. The Danish Bankers Organisation (Finansrådet) is lead partner behind the initiative.
At ALOC we find that the report, in many ways, confirms our own impression of Denmark being at the forefront with efficient use of IT within the area of finance.
