Global Investment Performance Standard (GIPS) is an ethical standard for calculating and presenting performance and historical investment performance, ensuring that both a true and fair view as well as complete and comparable information are presented. GIPS works as a minimum requirement worldwide, providing improved transparency to existing and potential clients, and thereby improved basis for decision-making when choosing an asset manager.
There are GIPS requirements with regards to input data, calculation methods, structure of composites (portfolio groups), in-depth information (notes) as well as presentation and reports.
Requirements and recommendations for calculation of yield, performance evaluation and reporting according to the GIPS and AIMR-PPS standards have been fully implemented in PORTMAN.
