The trading system is only as good as its links to the rest of the system landscape of the bank. Really efficient messaging creates real value in the order management process, since detailed knowledge about new orders is routed to the trading system in real time, allowing dealers and market makers to make decisions based on completely updated information.
IDEAS offers connectivity using the latest techniques based on XML, FIX (FAST FIX), MQ technology and other real-time messaging options.
- Replication client: Replicates IDEAS tables for a database via an ODBC interface.
- Internet module: Consists of three elements:
- Order routing, used for receiving orders from external systems via MQ. Subsequently, it routes the order to SAXESS or rejects it
- Quick price management, used for quoting quick prices to external systems via MQ
- Internet information feed, used for forwarding on-line prices to external systems via MQ
In IDEAS, routing of orders internally as well as externally is easy. ALOC has a proven record of being ready to integrate with a wide range of different upstream or down-stream systems, which include a wide range of portfolio and risk management applications as well as position keeping systems.
All trades can be transmitted via a real-time link from IDEAS to the back-office system which settles with the Danish VP Securities Services. Further, trades and data can be transmitted from the back-office systems and portfolio systems to IDEAS, for instance telephone/client trades, opening positions, portfolio re-allocations – so that transactions only have to be entered once.
Links have been established from IDEAS to all the large financial settlement and bookkeeping centers in Denmark:
But also to other systems in our clients’ system landscape such as
- Bloomberg and SimCorp Dimension, which both settle with the Danish VP Securities Services
Furthermore IDEAS is integrated with:
- MTS and CLICK, which are both deal capture systems
